Vicki Berger, P.A., Board Vice-Chair

Vicki Berger is a Physician Assistant practicing general pediatrics in Roy, Utah. She completed PA school at the University of North Dakota in 1999, a program dedicated to improving healthcare in underserved communities. Prior to PA training, she spent 15 years working as an RN in pediatrics, NICU, PICU, peds home care, and the peds cardiac cath lab. She began her PA career as the first PA in Pediatric Cardiology at Primary Children’s hospital in Salt Lake City. She also has experience in pediatric endocrinology and since 2005 she has been practicing general pediatrics at a private multi-provider pediatric clinic. She earned a Master’s degree in PA studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011.

She has been serving on the board of Directors of the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants in various capacities since 2010, serving two terms as president of the Academy. She is proud of her work as the American Academy of PA’s HOD Utah delegate, having influence on policy at the national level. She has been serving as the PA liaison to the Utah chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2012.

With a desire to make a difference in the world, she was inspired to join the One Heart family after visiting several remote villages of Nepal on two separate occasions where she saw first-hand the marvelous impact One Heart Worldwide is making on these vastly underserved communities.

A lifelong Northern Utah resident, Vicki currently resides in Huntsville, Utah with her husband and two dogs. They raised 6 children, and are the proud of their 4 grandchildren and 6 grand-dogs.
